so its time to give BG some attention and i see we already have a sticky with some great info for owners already in it, but I think a FAQ /info page would likely reach more bluegreen owners!

I created this quickly this evening but would like some guidance and help from the masses in filling it out and adding the important bits of info needed!

1. input on the main sections/paragraphs/headings...what else should get added? changes?

2. obviously the main information would need to be compiled and added to the individual sections, if anyone wants to provide comments/suggestions or even take the time to start typing a paragraph or two ill be happy to upload it and make this a collaborative effort!

@TUGBrian The new FAQ page has sections for "Buying Bluegreen Points" and "Selling Bluegreen Points." I'm not sure what readers would find useful. Do you have examples for these questions on other FQA pages and can you point me to them?

these were mostly just placeholders for topics i wanted to discuss in the article....

buying to explain how you can save buying resale and where, perhaps a mention of pinnacle and those who wish to retain full benefits etc (same with selling). they dont technically have to be two separate headings, but its probably easier to read that way.

Here are a few notes I took while briefly looking through this, I will look closer later on.

There is an error under "reservations." The entire stay must me completed before the pts expire.

Fees for trust fund E as of November 2019 are $373 base fee, $.0641 per annual pt, $.03205 per biennial pt and $139 club dues.

One thing I don't see mentioned is the Priority Use Period which is the time your pts are backed up by. Everyone can book their PUP instead of using their pts if they desire and this can be come between 13 and 11 months before check in.

Pinnacle Vacations is owned by Bluegreen and sell both Qualified and Non-Qualified pts. Watch the listings so you know what you are getting

Your Bluegreen membership includes a free membership in RCI for week long exchanges. Owners access RCI through the Bluegreen owner's site.

This is from the current publication by Bg, a Road Map to Great Vacations.

"Priority Reservations may be booked 13 months in advance of check-in day before the general 11-month reservations window. You must use the specific segment & unit number associated with your ownership. If Priority Reservations are not reserved in advance of the 11-month window, they are relinquished."

Each points contract is backed up by a specific unit and time segment. This is spelled out in our Certificate of Beneficial Ownership which we get instead of an actual deed. The unit is deeded to Bluegreen. Mine reads "The Hammocks at Marathon, 304HA/26." The thinking at Bg is that the "HA" means handicap accessible.

This means I have a right to unit # 304 during week 26. I can claim this at 13 months up until a few days before the 11 month mark. When I claim it, it uses all the pts associated with that Certificate. Some Priority Use Periods are as short as a one day day.

The Road Map to Great Vacations answers a lot of the questions we frequently get in the Facebook Group, Bluegreen Timeshare Secrets. Here is the link.

Here is a link to the Bg points table, the cost in points never changes once set.

And here is a directory to Bg resorts. None of these links require a password to see.

I just want to add that knowing what you are buying is very important. I thought about buying into Wyndham but the deeper I got into it the harder it seemed to be to understand so I started looking at Bg after staying at one of their resorts on an exchange through Dial and Exchange.

I started here on TUG and went to the facebook group, Bluegreen Timeshare Secrets. I found a lot of info in both places and studied it for 11 months before buying and still did not get it exactly right. The education continues.
