I got the SDO HOA annual meeting notice today, interesting enough a fellow Spartan is running for the BOD @ SDO, Dr. Benyi!

Good luck to Dr. Benyi and I hope others vote for her too!

The SDO board is firmly under the thumb of Vistana, so honestly, no matter who you vote for, it will be a pro-Vistana candidate.

First of all, Vistana filters the applicants and weeds out anyone who has any kind of independent thinking.

Then, they usually, they don't get a quorum, so under the election rules, the current board gets to pick the new office-holders and they will pick the candidates that Vistana tells them to pick.

Then, once again, it will be a board made up of people who will rubber stamp anything that Vistana puts before them.

I know this because a few years ago, a Tugger ran for the SDO board, and even though he got the most votes, the board did not choose him - true story.
