This Spring my husband decided he wanted something bigger and better than his Kindle Fire 7 we got as a gift from Wyndham at the annual owners meeting a couple of years ago. After he got this 10 I tried it out to see if it was too big for me to hold comfortably. It isn't so I got one too. I like the bigger screen than my 8 had as I read a lot on it. We got them on sale for $120 something. This is an even better price. In addition to the larger screen and other features, we really like the longer battery life than our 7 and 8 had. I ordered both of us covers on eBay. See the picture below.
We mailed my husband's 7 to our son for them to give to our granddaughter for her third birthday. Her then 7 year old sister has our DIL's 8 she no longer uses. They bought her a pink kids cover/frame for it. Our son ordered the younger granddaughter a pink kids cover/frame for the one we sent for her. She loves her pink tablet as she calls it and the smaller size is good for her little hands. We were a little skeptical about what a newly turned 3 year old could do on it and thought her excitement was just to have something her big sister has. We are really impressed. She does puzzles, alphabet, counting, matching and designing games on it. But best of all she has a few episodes of her beloved Sesame Street loaded on it that she can watch. Both girls rode with us on the 8 hour drive from Cleveland, Ohio to Wyndham Glacier Canyon in Wisconsin. After that they flew back to Florida with me. And this week we all rode another 3 hours to get to Sanibel Island for a week. At the end of the week we drive back to Orlando then I fly them home the following week. Both girls having their own tablets with age appropriate games and shows has been a blessing for all the traveling we've been doing with them.
