Anyone been to tropical LHVR in DR or the Residence LHV

We are thinking of going to Puerto Plata in April. I have never been there before so any information is appreciated.

We are looking at either The Tropical Lifestyle Holiday or The Residence Lifestyle Holiday. I am not sure what the difference is between the two.

Has anyone stayed there and can give me any information?

Hi! We are currently LHVC members and my personal advice is as follows: The Tropical is in my experience the lowest quality accommodation they provide. So I would disregard it. I have not stayed in the Residence but from what I know it is the place that offers self catering option as well. The resort is huge and extremely nice, with a wide variety of restaurants and beaches so the self catering option isn't really desirable. I would definitely recommend Cofresi Palm and Beach Resort with the beach suites or alternatively the Presidential Suites. Any other questions I might help, don't hesitate to ask!
