If anyone happens to go by a Profeco office anywhere in Mexico I'd appreciate it if you could stop in and ask them something for me. They used to have a very good explanation of Mexican consumer protection rules for timeshare purchases on their website here: https://www.gob.mx/profeco But, now their new website is all in Spanish. If they had even a pamphlet in English they could give you we could at least post a picture of it.
I tried contacting them on their website and also on their Facebook page to see if they had an English version but the response I've gotten is that they do not. If there is anyone who reads and understands Spanish and could find info about timeshare purchases that would be cool if he/she could even provide a translation to English of that section.
I'd like to have specific info to give people when they come to TUG asking about rescinding a Mexican timeshare purchase. I think the rescission period is probably still five business days but it would be really nice to have that in writing.
Thanks in advance for any help!
