Are GPR / GPX Special Requests a waste of time?

Months ago, I put in several special requests for various resorts through Grand Pacific Exchange. I didn't expect anything to match, but the system is so awkward to use, I had no idea what I should expect. Once the request goes in, there's no way I know of to check to see what has been requested, or when, or what the status is.

So then, about twenty minutes ago, my email box was flooded with "Sorry, we couldn't match your request" emails, for every one of my requests. Like seven or eight of them, and nothing matched. It's not a big deal, since I'd already found an exchange I wanted, including to one of the resorts I'd put in the special request for.

So the question is: Are these Special Requests worth the trouble? Do they ever match anything? Is there a better way to input them, to know the status of them?

I have never had a match. I've put in ongoing requests and then later found stuff online that was a match and booked it that way. They have never matched anything for me.

Thanks. That was my experience, too. I found a nice Maui exchange I was interested in on the list of available exchanges, and GPX never did match the special request I'd submitted. So apparently, the several emails I got yesterday were a "time out" situation, where my special requests hadn't matched in such-and-such timeframe, so they kicked them/me out. I presume this means they're no longer on file. I won't waste time doing it again.
