I have a membership from Bahia Principe club that i purchased back in 2015 and have not used since. I bought 30 weeks membership for $8000. I have paid $5538 and have $3336 left on it. I have never used it nor plan to use it. I am willing to transfer this on your name for fraction of the price and you can pay the remaining balance. Please let me know asap if you are interested on this. I have to make decision by end of this week since this has been overdue. Please let me know soon.

This is why we warn people against travel club memberships. Sorry to say, friend, but you don't have anything to sell. It's a Right to Use. No ownership here. Do you know what the resort group charges to transfer the membership? I would simply stop paying them. The only leverage they have is to terminate your membership, and that's what you want anyway. Oh sure, they will send nasty letters, threatening legal action and collection and ruination of your credit, but in reality, your credit will improve it you have less payments to a worthless vacation club.

We wish you well, but anyone who frequents TUG will have heard all this before.

Do you know what the resort group charges to transfer the membership? I would simply stop paying them. The only leverage they have is to terminate your membership, and that's what you want anyway. The club is ready to accept my cancellation form. However, they have given me option to transfer my membership or modify the contract to 30 weeks if anyone is willing to pay the remaining balance. There is no maintenance fee or interest on this account. Since I have paid so much money already I wanted to give it to someone who can really use it rather than handing cancellation to those Rascals.

New poster, but long time lurker. TUGBrian is correct, I own 4 of these contracts and paid a total of $3 for the lot. 3 gold 10-year memberships all bought on eBay for $1 each and 1 platinum 30-year membership I got for free on timesharenation. I didn't pay the transfer fees or closing costs either, which the previous seller paid $875 to do for me, so this is going to be a hard sell on your part to even give it away with a balance unfortunately...

I bought this from the poster. I already own it and simply added more weeks. It has worked well for me in past years. I have used it for large family vacations in the past. They let kids under 12 stay for free, and we really like the VIP benefits. Even if I am unable to use the 30 weeks I purchased, it trades with RCI and I can always use more TPUs.

So I think this membership is worth more than some other ones out there. I admit I am not familiar with the other ones though.
