HI there - I have 2 bedroom lock-off and want to split the up and trade via Interval for WindJammer resort in St. Lucia. What is the best approach to do this ? I check all the time and nothing ever comes up for availability ... Any suggestions would help.. Thanks !!

While I have not searched for that resort (WNJ) and do not know its deposit pattern, I would begin by setting up an ongoing search in Interval. When is your desired travel season?
I did notice that there is a separate code for Getaways, WJ1. I would put both codes into the search request. Decide in advance how long you're willing to wait, and have alternate destinations in mind to add to the search at that point.

Also, I found these threads. You could contact the people who posted and ask whether they exchanged or rented a getaway:

i hope you mean 2020 because timeshare trades will often tend to require a lot of lead time. looking for top resorts at the last minute just leads to frustration.

hudshut's advice above is good...

We are owners at Windjammer Landing, and it is a very difficult place to trade into as most owners use their unit to go there, it is such a beautiful place.

Some owners make their villas available for rent at quite affordable rates on the owners web site - non-owners can access the Rent or For Sale boards. Go to: http://www.wjlpra.com/wpra/Main/wpra-main.php

I know this doesn’t help you with trading but I see a lot of availability at this resort in Getaways. Could you rent your week and book a Getaway instead?

...it is a very difficult place to trade into...

It may be difficult in II, but it is a fairly easy trade in RCI with an HGVC account. It is an RCI points resort though, so there tends to be a lot of one-night scraps. But if you go far enough into the future, one week blocks are pretty easy to come by. I checked just now, and easily found 8 one-week blocks in a one bedroom between now and the end of November. There is even a three bedroom unit available for 7 nights starting 11/23/19.
