So now that II is part of the Marriott family, does the payment of II fees with the Bonvoy credit cards qualify for 6 points or just 2?

I highly doubt it. I beleive Chase uses keywords in the Payee Name when you charge something. Unless one of those keywords shows up, you just get the 2 points per dollar. Also consider that Vistana owners don't earn the multiplier when they charge their MFs to the Chase Visa.

II transacation code as travel for me and earn 3x with my chase sapphire.

Never tried using my Marriott, assuming it would only get 2x

I get 3 points on main. fees, II exchange fees and RCI fees ,with my Chase Sapphire card . Restaurants also. I used to bill my airfare to Chase S. and would get 3 points for that also, then I got the Amex. Plat. card and they give 5 points on a $ for airfare.

My practice has been to use the Sapphire as described by May. I have a Marriott card which provides 6 points on Marriott spend. The question is whether the II will count as a Marriott spend since II now belongs to Marriott.

Given the relative point value as ascribed by The Points Guy 6 Marriott points are worth approx 5.4 cents and 3 Chase Sapphire points are worth 4.5 cents. The difference is negligible unless one is looking at renting a getaway or other larger outlay. Still it would be nice to know!

I do too.
But, his current values are 0.8 and 2.0 cents, yielding 4.8 and 6 cents respectively. Sapphire Reserve is 20% better for MFs. Ymmv. Cheers.
