It's been many years ago that I participated here.
Due to Health reasons I don't travel anymore and have sold all my Timeshare weeks. I still however have a RCI weeks Membership good thru 12/31/18
It also has a combined deposit of 179 credits good thru Aug 2019
and a 42 credit deposit good thru Sep 2019
I have tried getting my daughter and SIL to use the points but they just don't seem interested.
I'm looking for advise on what I can do that won't break any rules with RCI.
I know you can't book and then rent weeks based on their rules.
Thanks in advance for any advise you all can offer.

I don't think you can. If you still had one timeshare left you could have transferred everything to the new owner with a fee but without transferring it with a timeshare, I don't think that is possible.

Thanks!
It does not break any RCI rules and is allowed for a $98 fee.

The next question is what I have to sell of any value in reality?

Where can I advertise it and how much should I ask?

That is what I had thought as well.
The RCI link Luanne provided above however indicates it is allowed and all deposits can be transferred as well.

Although no rules listed are being broken the form doesn't seem to say that it is applicable if you want to sell or transfer the membership separate from selling or transferring your ownership interest in the timeshare. It does say it is a separate asset and you can choice to retain it or transfer it to the person who recieved the timeshare. It does not indicate that it is an asset that can be transferred separate from the transferred unit(s). The language of the form itself seems to be the only applicable transferee is the individual who you sold or transferred the timeshare to. At one point RCI was allowing the transfer of credits using this form but I believe that is no longer the case but it may depend on who receives the form and processes it. It is on the ambiguous side. My understanding in the past was the membership had a transfer fee and each credit deposit had a separate transfer fee.

From the form:
When to Complete the Membership Transfer Application: • If you have sold one or more of your timeshare weeks. • If you have transferred all or part of your ownership in a timeshare week(s) by means other than a sale (for example, a gift transfer or a transfer as a result of a divorce or separation agreement). Please note that your RCI subscription is an asset separate from your timeshare interest. As the Transferor(s), you may either retain your RCI subscription or transfer it to the new Transferee(s). Step-by-Step Instructions on How to Complete the Membership Transfer Application: • Before completing this application, you should notify your home resort(s) of any changes that need to be made to your ownership document(s). • Provide RCI a copy of the updated deed(s) along with this application by fax at 1.317.805.9335 or mail to RCI, P.O. Box 2099, Carmel, IN 46082-9992, Attn: Customer Service. • Any incomplete sections may delay processing. A. TRANSFEROR(S) • This section must be completed by the individual(s) who sold or transferred the timeshare interest(s). List the name(s) that currently appear on the RCI subscription and all other information requested. • If two people are listed on RCI membership, provide both signatures or legal documentation showing only one is required. B. TRANSFEREE(S) • This section must be completed by the individual(s) to whom the timeshare interest(s) were sold or transferred. List the name(s) that you wish to appear on the amended RCI subscription and complete all other information requested. • Please note due to systems limitation, we can only have two names on the RCI Subscribing Membership

Too bad your daughter and SIL aren't interested in lodging for several vacations. All it would cost them to go somewhere are the exchange fees. The 179 credits plus 42 credits would provide several really nice vacations well into 2019. However, it would take a bit of effort on their part (or you assisting them) to determine where they are interested in going and placing some ongoing searches. Seven nights of accommodations for the cost of a $249 exchange fee is a great deal. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. :ponder:

My daughter traveled with us on timeshare vacations from the age of five on into adulthood.
I was surprised when she showed no interest in taking over a ownership i wanted to give them or use the TPU's I have banked.
They however can't seem to plan in-advance for vacation.
Oh well, what can one do!

I would write to RCI and explain your situation.

I get good response by emailing rci at Feedback@rci.com

Hopefully, things go well for you!

This is a good question after reading RCIs site info and MTA it looks like you can’t which is odd because under an RCI Points membership they let you transfer points to others.

My suggestion - let all your relatives know you can send them on vacations over next couple years for exchange plus Guest pass fee.

Contact a local church, charity like wounded warriors etc and see if they would like to use the points you have. If your not keeping your account you could just give them the login info after deleting your save CC info. Then they can book what they want.

It is definitely worth more than the $98 transfer fee, if transferable. I think TUG has a valuation on $ per TPU point. I think by using the best/lowest $ per TPU point will be attractive for the buyer and also return some money back to OP.

If you can’t SELL RCI Points, why would it be okay to SELL TPU’s?

I think someone pointed to a link about transferring out an entire account and not individual TPUs. I do not know if there is T&C about whether $ exchange is prohibited.

Money exchange they show as not allowed

But if possible to give them to a person that you did not sell TS to as OP suggests, I think at this point I would not be to worried about them closing my account, if the taker offered me some compensation.
