NO WORRIES! They are not required to provide you with any written documentation of your rescission request. They are however required to act on your request, and with most Timeshare systems you will receive your refund within a 45 day time frame.

As long as you mailed your rescission letter within the allowed period of time, and have retained a Postmarked copy of your USPS mailing receipt (which it sounds like you have) then you are all set.

Thank you for your response. You know, before I mailed my cancellation letter, I talked to the sale manager(he called me after I emailed him a few questions). I told him my intention to cancel the purchase agreement. He said I don’t have to mail the letter, he can help me with cancellation, but never been in touch since then. However, I trust my gut and the instruction to mail the seller in writing if I want to cancel. And I did.

You do need to follow the written instructions, which indicate you have to mail in the cancellation. I did not mean you should only call. I meant you could check on the status by phone, if you want to.

While I think Vistana is professional about these dealings, it is important to follow the instructions to the letter, and to have a paper trail, in case something goes wrong. I would not be overly worried, though. They are not out to get you.
