Confirming Vistana Fixed Week

Has anyone who owns in the fixed phases of Vistana had their fixed week reservation returned to the pool past 8 months prior to check-in?

I ask because the policy is as follows:
Fixed Week Owners: Your Week, Villa type and Season at your Home Resort are automatically booked but must be confirmed 12–10 months prior to arrival, or your week is released to the floating pool. Sheraton Vistana Resort Courts, Falls, Spa, Palms and Springs Fixed Week Owners must confirm automatic booking 12–8 months before vacation arrival date, or the week is released to the floating pool.

I don't take any chances and call-in. But whenever I call (the last couple of years), the agent has no idea what I am talking about and typically just sends me a confirmation.

Curious if anyone has had their reservation revoked past 8 months. (I'm not taking any chances, so I still do it every year, but just wanted to check with others on their experience.)

    Thanks,
    Ryan

I thought one of the benefits of a Fixed Week was the owner didn't have to do anything unless they wanted to cancel or change the reservation. Otherwise, IIRC the Owner 101 video says to just show up.

Vistana has true fixed weeks and then fixed /float weeks. For many of those fixed/float weeks, Vistana pre reserves your week but you still need to confirm the week by x date or it becomes a float week. For those week you still get a blended credit when exchanging through II because they aren't true fixed weeks. So those weeks have a float week component and aren't 100% fixed weeks.

For the wees that are true fixed weeks I think the call in only applies to SVN members at those resorts.

Our Courts week is always waiting for us, unless we trade it. We have never had to confirm, and it shows up at Vistana.com as a confirmed reservation about a year in advance; our March 2020 week has been showing for quite some time now with a confirmation number. I usually do confirm, but not until a few weeks before arrival.

I'm not sure how they could release my week to a floating pool as my ownership doesn't float in any way. That would effectively mean that I would be unable to use what I have deeded to me and have paid for.
