We're heading to DSV1 Sept 30 on for a week. The resort page indicates construction throughout the resort. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where "not to go" or recommend a villa/building "that is recently updated"? We're older pool people and I may play a couple rounds of golf.
At night we'll just BBQ or bounce around and enjoy the local flavor.
Thanks,
Mike

We were just at DSV2 and did see that they are remodeling the interiors in DSV1. As I recall it was in buildings H and I or on either side of them. We are sure if they were doing any work down the western wing of buildings. We also don't know if they just started in that building or have already completed some others.

We walked into one of the rooms as the workers let us in. From what we saw, it will look very nice. One very nice thing that stood out is in the guest room. They are moving the frig and microwave area to a side wall closer to the door and putting in a larger frig. The set up with be much better than it was.

I would recommend calling the rooms coordinator and asking for whatever preferences you have. Perhaps away from the construction and in a remodeled room, if possible.

Good luck and enjoy. Temperatures finally dropped under 100 on Thursday, so it should be a little better for you.

Best regards.

Mike

We just returned from DSV1 two weeks ago in a two bedroom, building A, top floor. Our unit had been recently updated. The unit was fabulous! Despite, the heat, we had a great time during our stay. I guess that because we were in the first building, we never heard the construction. Our building was just across from the check in building.
