We booked a week at Coral Sands North by Palmera (#C688) in RCI.

From what I can see there are 3 different listings for Coral Sands (well one is Coral Reef, but shares the same address) in RCI. According to the resort map, North is the newer section just off of Pope Ave, and the listing makes it sound like we are reserving the newer section.

Does anyone know if the resort actually assigns reservations to the section booked or are they just done as run of property bookings (ie anywhere). The older sections of the resort don't get reviewed well due to aging.

Any good tips for Coral Sands specifically. We have been to HHI once before, staying at Waterside across Pope Ave from Coral Sands.

There are 3 different HOA's so I doubt they would put you in a different HOA when they specifically break them out. Sometimes resorts have more than one rci code but that just has to do with where the inventory came from (developer vs owner deposits). Places like Orlange Lake with multiple villages and Massanutten with different sections. and even summer bay in Orlando which lumps several HOAs in the resort section but when they break out sections for rci like the Villas, the Houses, the reserves, they placed you in the inventory that you exchanged into. If you are booked in the North section of Coral Sands you should be in the North but there maybe better or newer units within that section and you have the run of house in that section.
