We just started the ovations "tribute" program title transfer from parents to us. Here's what I know:
1) It's a free transfer of ownership
2) 6-8 wks to get docs to M-i-L
3) 12 wks to close
4) we will "probably" be given a new use year.

Does anyone know any of the following?

a) what happens to the 308K biannual points which are currently sitting in existing contract?
b) can I trfr them to RCI?
c) will the trfr to RCI "stick"? or be canceled? they warned us not to make ressies.
d) Do we retain PP and Club Pass from M-i_L's deed?
e) are there any ways in which the membership will be different to us?

I am/have asked Wyndham these questions, but I'd rather hear the answers from Tuggers. ;o) I will post their answers once I have them all.

Haven't a clue (sorry) but Congrats! and Best Wishes on a smooth transfer!

FWIW, transferring my parent's Worldmark (by Wyndham) to my brother as an estate action was a snap and everything transferred (point balance, original account status, all rights/privileges, etc). I hope it goes as easily for you.

These are the answers from Wyndham I promised above.
a) what happens to the 308K biannual points which are currently sitting in existing contract?
The points will transfer to us once the title is transferred.
b) can I trfr them to RCI?
If you transfer them prior to the deed transferring, they will belong to the previous RCI member, not to you, and it could jeopardize the transfer process.
c) will the trfr to RCI "stick"? or be canceled? they warned us not to make ressies.
See above
d) Do we retain PP and Club Pass from M-i_L's deed?
Yes, you retain everything in the current membership.
e) are there any ways in which the membership will be different to us?
You will need your own RCI membership, and may need to initiate this if we don't initiate it for you.

Hope that helps others!

The answer to the last question seems off.... since every pts account automatically gets access to the corporate RCI account as part of the program fee. Maybe it is just badly worded..... meaning to say that the associated RCI acct will not transfer, and a new RCI account will be setup after the transfer.

Yes, I think that was the sense of the answer. That they will set up a new acct for us, since we are different people from our parents. But the agent helpfully suggested I double-check that this got done.
