I'm constantly amazed at how callous these crooks with "I can sell your timeshare if you give me money" scams are! According to this story in Springfield MO's News-Leader (thanks for sending it to me, Janet!), Travis Dibben, owner of Escape Resolutions, has been operating in my neighborhood. With tax liens, court judgments, and multiple consumer complaints filed, I hope he's finally shut down. Maybe I can help by posting a warning about him here, and please let the newpaper know if you've been one of his victims.
Long story short, he's got 32 BBB complaints in 20 states regarding the always lucrative (to the scammer) get-out-of-your-timeshare-for-an-upfront-fee scam, he's being sued for unpaid bills for over $40K theater/sound system, he has two MO tax liens, he's scammed the city for a business development loan, and he was arrested and convicted for dealing cocaine! What a gem.
