Vacation Village at Bonaventure
We're owners at Vacation Village (Bonaventure & Grandview) and were looking to go to the Berkshires next summer. Looking at the Vacation Village site VV in the Berkshires (a weeks resort) has all 2 bedroom lockoffs with an A & B side. The B side has a partial kitchen while the A side is a full kitchen.
I looked at RCI and see they list only 1BR units with full or partial kitchens during the summer. During some other times of the year there's a few 2BR but not many. I contacted RCI and was told I need to reserve 1 Full kitchen and 1 Partial kitchen then contact the resort to request they be 2 sides of a lockoff. However, according to the VV site I can only make that request 2 weeks prior to our travel.
This sounds so customer unfriendly. It doubles the exchange fee (RCI side of gouge) and requires double the TPUs (resort side of the gouge). Plus there's no assurance we're even in the same building as our traveling party which are elderly (82 & 85).
I've never run into anything like this in the 10 years we've been traveling with timeshares. Has anyone else run into something like this?
