Hi,
I wish I joined TUG two years ago. We haven't been able to effectively use our timeshare in New Orleans. We tried selling with Timeshares Only. A lotta help that was - just a waste of money.

Then we tried to donate to Gifts for Sight. It was in closing, they told me that they actually had a buyer and then boom. Katrina.

Well, now I can't find anyone to take it. It's reopening in the fall (I think). Annual maintenance = $437.

It is fully paid for.

Thanks,
Kevin and Stephanie

I think you'll do best to wait until the resort reopens and you get some definitive info as to whether there will be a special assessment. If all goes well, list it on eBay (bids starting at $1) and state that the buyer is to pay closing costs of $xxx.

Contact one of the closing companies listed in the "how to sell" article (which you should read anyway) at the top of the list of topics for this Buying, Selling, Renting forum and determine how much it will cost to handle the sale. Probably $250-$300. Include that info in your ad.

It will sell.
