I am new to the timeshare world. So if I was to go by” this from you I would get 13,000 star points? I can use those to stay at any weston/Sheraton type resort?

I really have no desire to go to this resort but what I’m looking for is the best value for $650-$700 in maintenance fees. I want to use points to stay at hotels in Florida, Virginia, Maryland and New York city. Do you think this would accommodate what I’m looking to do? The reason I ask is supposedly 13,000 star points is equivalent to two points per dollar or $6500 in cash for hotel rooms at the Sheraton resort’s. Maybe I’m reading everything wrong but That seems like a great deal to me. Last question. It says this is not available till 2020. Does that also apply to the point?

The ability to convert the week to hotel points, i.e. starpoints, do not transfer with resale. The valuation per starpoint per Points Guy is about 2.7 cents per point, which makes 13,000 starpoint the equivalent of $351, but this is a moot point.

This is an every other year timeshare and Vistana collects maintenance fees each year, making it 2 times the annual maintenance quoted per use.

Thank you for the clarification on points. I will edit and repost. The statement on 2 times the annual maintenance quoted is misleading. The quoted maintenance is per year; however, you are correct that the cost to use the EOY week is equivalent to twice what is quoted.
