I have a MR points reservation coming up. Received the pre-arrival email and only options are Golf or Lakeview. I prefer to be near the main pool, lobby, etc - which I will put a call in to request. But, when completing the form - shall I assume Lakeview would be best if that is the location I prefer?

We stayed in Building (high floor) years ago, and #91 thereafter. In #91, we were given a lower floor; hence trees blocked much of our view.

There is a (smaller) pool near #92, and gas grills. Also, we like a higher floor----and we could watch people play the Par 3 hole below.

That worked well for us----put your preferences seem different from ours..............

Lake view can put you further from the lobby than golf view. A lot of the lake view units are literally across the lake which means you have to walk from your unit down to the bridge and cross over. 90-92 are at most a block away from the lobby and I believe 97 is even closer than that.

I don't think it matters because chances are, you won't get what you requested. That's been my experience for the past 2-3 years (and I own multiple weeks at MGV). Usually we check in, learn we didn't get what we wanted, ask if something that we DO want is available, are told yes, but the room hasn't been cleaned yet, so we say "We'll wait" and we eventually get what we asked for in the first place. It's like a game.
