We have used in FEB & water temp is very swimable (at least for a Canadian)
Feb is similar to Lake Huron in late July to August . I am sure water temp is warmer in May .
Some waves - depending on day . Sandy bottom / drop off is gradual .
What other types of activities are you looking for ?

The beach in June was awesome, albeit somewhat choppy. I wouldn't let small kids alone but otherwise, it was good water. The pools and lazy river and the giant slide are amazing.
Friends, we'll be staying the last 2 weeks of May. Does anyone remember if the Joy Squad Poker games use real money for stakes? Have a poker player coming in my party and he wants to prepare accordingly. Who else will be there? Let's get on PMs to organize drinks.
