Has anyone used Florida Vacation Properties to rent a timeshare from?

I posted the below on the "Buying, Selling, Renting" Forum last night on TUG but haven't received a response there yet so maybe posting the below on the Florida Timesharing Forum would be better since the rental ad in question relates to Florida. Last night I saw a TUG rental ad from Florida Vacation Properties for a Madeira Beach, FL gulf front timeshare unit. I emailed them for more info and they said they are a licensed real estate broker & accept payment in full only. However I wasn’t comfortable with paying them fully in advance by electronic check or check without receiving a confirmed reservation & they don’t take a credit card so I passed on the rental & see that the ad has been removed already from TUG so either someone has already taken the rental or Florida Vacation Properties removed their ad. Has any other TUG Member used Florida Vacation Properties before? So I’ll know in the future when I see another one of their ads on TUG, are they a legitimate company and what was your experience like using Florida Vacation Properties? Any information on this company would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Never pay full upfront.

If they say they are licensed, check here:
https://www.stateofflorida.com/real-estate.aspx

You can also try Airbnb, Homeaway, Vrbo. They have rentals listed.

If you find out anything, let everyone know and have Brian pull the other listing.

Thanks so much for your response, WVBaker! I did check at your DBPR link above & they are licensed & active according to that website. I also checked out your other links above, but didn't see the rental unit on there; however I have to admit I didn't scrutinize every ad because those websites add up to viewing hundreds of condo units etc. for rent. I do see though that Florida Vacation Properties has put another Madeira Beach 1BR/2BA Loft Island Gulf Resort Week 26 unit for rent in the TUG Florida Gulf Coast, Tampa/St Pete section for $795 (the one they had that I saw on Thursday night but have since removed was for $700), but I'm still not comfortable to pay up front as you stated to never do so I'll pass this one up as well. Thanks again so much for sharing the above info as it was very helpful!
