I also think your opportunity to easily rescind has passed. I also agree that you should send a CERTIFIED USPS letter anyway.

Welcome to TUG

If you haven't mailed the letter yet, you might try using some excuse for not making it before Saturday. Like the dog broke its leg, or you were traveling, or if was St.Patrick's Day & you thought the post offices were closed. ANYTHING to make them have to explain their policy. It might just be easier for them to grant your rescission.

If it turns out you cannot rescind - DO NOT - start looking for some service that promises to get you out of your contract. They are all scams.

I thought maybe I was alone with this thought. Fact: the rescission date was missed. Fact: The certified USPS mailing will PROVE the rescission date was missed. If Grandview refuses the rescission, they can just reference your certified mailing.

I would mail it by regular mail with communication dated during the appropriate time period. Four or five days later, I would send it by certified USPS and reference the earlier MAILED correspondence noting that you are following up as your 'counsel' has recommended.

At the very least, it will give them pause and maybe a prudent employee will suggest they "just let this one go."

Why? Regular Mail today and DAYS later the certified mail sent with the truly OLD posted date? Certified Mail is the LEGAL date of a recession letter ... an OLDER one is ONLY PROOF you did mail it later than crap.

JUST send them BOTH now ... and HOPE the it slips thru.

YOU could try and date the actual letter a day or two earlier .... Saturday perhaps? BUT certified mail TODAY... TUESDAY .. google is YOUR FRIEND in finding ANY late night post offices IN YOUR DRIVING RANGE for SAVING your $4000.

I own there. I paid $749 closed for 49K points every year.

I hope that they let you rescind.

I ask bc I have to be at work at 9, so going to office max would be easier

This I do not know- just get it out right away and be able to track it.

I like this strategy....
