HICV to IHG Conversion in Other Direction?

Agreed - here was my original response to the new owner:
I have never heard of converting IHG points to HICV points - perhaps what was meant was that you can use IHG points to book rooms at HICV properties? If so, the value is terrible, since IHG pricing is typically higher than HICV weekend pricing - a week that costs 100K HICV points might cost 250K IHG points.

As a 15 year veteran in timeshare sales and marketing and former HICV sales rep. NEVER believe or BUY anything on a presentation until you take the time to check it out thoroughly.
The new owner was lied to as he probably has lots of of IHG points from his travels and they want to make a sale. But it is too late. He is now a new owner.
I am writing a "tell all" book about the whole timeshare industry to educate current and future timeshare owners. I can show how most anyone can get rid of their timeshare by the end of the day. The book is not a revenge for what timeshare resorts have been doing to people, but rather to prepare potential buyers for a presentation,and how to save the most money.

Just means using IHG points at resorts so can go back to resorts after depositing into IHG
