I just made an 8 night reservation at Bonnet Creek, noticed I was charged 154 housekeeping credits (2 BR should be 77).

I expect they will keep me in one unit, and I can call to get them credited back after the trip. Anyone else notice this on stays over 7 nights?

They clean every 7 days. If you don’t say anything your room will be cleaned at 7 days then it will have to be cleaned after you leave.
The charge is accurate and a lot of owners would complain if the cleaning isn’t done on 8 plus days of stay.

I actually think Wyndham got it right on this one. If they only done it automatically on 9 plus days of stay some owners will say it should be done only on 10 plus days of stay while others would still want it done after 7 days. Wyndham can’t satisfy all owners on this one.

Most VIPs that have unlimited housekeeping will want it done at 7 days, that’s why it’s automatically programmed that way

The Wyndham Directory clearly shows that the amount of housekeeping credits needed for a stay of 8-14 nights in a 2 BR is 154. I was not aware of this being negotiable. I have heard that if you have a 7 night stay made as 2 separate reservations, they might credit some of these credits back if you stayed in the same room, but that's all I've heard of on this topic.

In January, I had a 14-day reservation. I requested not to clean up while there. After the stay, I requested a return of the unused housekeeping points and that was done.

After a 14 day stay a room on average should be dirtier then after a 7 night or less stay. Plus it complicates staffing a little more. Not sure how Wyndham and the resorts see it.

If it was me I would make mandatory cleaning after 7 nights. If you check out early of an 8 night or longer reservation then a refund would be fine.
