How to Get to Newark Airport from Manhattan
By Points, Miles and Martinis/ pointsmilesandmartinis.boardingarea.com
"Getting to and from Newark Airport (EWR) from Manhattan is easy with New Jersey Transit, and will cost you $13 for both NJ Transit and the AirTrain at Newark Liberty International Airport.
If you’re leaving from Manhattan, you’ll want to make your way to Penn Station, located on 34th and 7th Avenue, which is also where the 1, 2, 3, and A, C, and E subway lines stop, so you can easily connect from one of those subways to NJ transit...."
"How do you get from Newark to New York City?
Take the Airtrain to the the "Newark Liberty Airport Train Station". Then transfer to a NJ TRANSIT train to Penn Station NEWARK (not New York). Trains run 7 days a week, 21 hours/day (no service between 2:00-5:00 AM) at least every 15 minutes. Do not get a ticket for an AMTRAK train because that is MUCH more expensive...."
