You could do much, much better than that. What they are charging $8,000 for you can find essentially FREE.
There are two sold on EBay. One for $5 and the other for $10, both ANNUAL and both with all closing costs included.
1600 EOY points won’t get you much either as this is the lowest point deed there is with HGVC and will sleep 2, maybe 4 depending on Resort. You could use points for a larger unit but you may end up with only 2-3 days for your full allotment of points.
Congrats for not falling for their sales pitch, many people do. Now you can take your time to research to determine what is best for your family. It may be HGVC but you just might find another system or resort that suits you better. Whatever you decide, be sure to save thousands and buy resale. And, ask lots of questions. Some resorts, thinking Westgate, will strip fair access from resale buyers resulting in resales that are practically impossible to give away even for free. Good luck!
