In one of the accounts I acquired I have 1000 LCUP points left, but expire 01/29/19

Can I use these for a guest? i.e pay for guest certificate? Or being LCUP are they blocked from being used with guest certificate?

I know LCUP can only be used for bookings two months or less out but do the reservations have to end before they expire?

They can be used by a guest with the payment of the fee. Nothing in the rules prohibits it.

The reservation is for any available unit within sixty days. The reservation can be for a stay that commences after the points are expired but no more than sixty days after expiration.

Good luck using the LCUP points.

New Hyatt Windward Pointe, Platinum Season owner here.

Might be helpful to edit the sticky post about guest certificates for LCUP reservations -

https://tugbbs.com/forums/index.php...yatt-timeshare-ownership.258196/#post-2021273

It currently reads:
--unlike HRPP or CUP--guest certificates cannot be issued for LCUP reservations.

I almost let the LCUP points that came with the purchase expire, since I couldn't travel during LCUP and read the sticky information. Glad they've allowed guest certificates for LCUP bookings since the last sticky update.

Thanks to HRC owners for the wealth of information here. Look forward to learning more and enjoying the Hyatt system! :)
