Good Afternoon - has anyone else encountered lies from the sales team (LVHC Punta Cana) when they promised to pay off an existing timeshare and now are reneging? How can we get back at them?

I would search the internet with those 4 words. You will find a number of threads with complaints. Complaintsboard has 157 comments. Tripadvisor has 392 comments. Evidently there is a major problem regarding what is promised by the salesmen and what is received by the customer. if your contract has language in it to the effect that they will buy your timeshare, you might have a case. If not, it is just a "verbal representation." Verbal representations don't hold much water in court.

¿What is written in the Contract? That is what matters. I doubt you will find any such guarantee in the written Contract.

The above replies all hit the nail on the head. Unless actually stated in writing within the contract, any and all verbal representation(s) by a sales weasel is just meaningless noise floating around in the air --- and they know it.
I can only hope that the OP did not pony up serious money for that "vacation club" membership.

I have been to the LHVC Presidential suites 2 times in the past 2 years. Both times, they promised to take over our existing timeshare as part of the sales agreement. We did not take the 'deal' but I can tell you that based on my experience they will tell you anything to get you into the sales presentation and did not live up to the promises. So it would not surprise me if they don't live up to their sales agreements. Would need to be in writing.
