Marriott CC and Vistana Maintenance Fees

Maybe this has been reported recently, but paying MFs with Marriott CC (premier plus) only got the regular 2x rewards points for each dollar spend. Bummer. I had hoped it would be 6x.
I did prepay the majority of my MFs in July, pre-merger, with SPG card to get 2X spg (6x MR) points / dollar.
So I had only approx 3% increase that was outstanding, about $30 to pay-test with the Marriott CC. My other unit's $30 balance I paid with Chase Sapphire reserve.

Did anyone pay their MFs with your SPG AMEX card? and did you get 6X MR points / dollar?

We had a recent Westin timeshare stay, and our onsite expenses did get 6X MR points with the Marriott CC.

That thread also discusses that the SPG Amex provides 6x for Vistana MFs but the Marriott Chase card provides only 2x for Vistana MFs.

Interestingly, if you use the SPG Amex to pay Marriott MFs you get the 6x multiplier.
