I am looking for recommendations to the best approach for exchanging or renting. We are needing a [3 night Marriott rental for Feb.] but we are willing to make a week out of it. We are wondering if we should rent or try to exchange? When exchanging though II are you able to request a specific week? Thanks in advance.

Yes, when you exchange through II, you can request exactly what you want, but you must have something to exchange. If you are using your 2018 week, will you have a week available to exchange?

Are you an owner with Marriott? If so, what do you own? When you exchange through II they only do a week for a week. You could only go for the 3 nights you want but the other 4 nights would be lost.

urfriend - that info was removed so his post doesn't look like an Ad. He posted that he was fine with a full week on an exchange.
