MBP will be completing a building facade painting and waterproofing project from November 11, 2017 to April 15, 2018. The project will be completed in stages for the resort's villa tower and you may experience the following during your upcoming stay.

1. Periodic closures of portions of the pool deck, including the temporary relocation of the "Splash" pool bar.

2. The presence of contractors on the exterior of your villa.

3. Light construction-related noise.

4. Temporary pedestrian and vehicular detours.

The painting and waterproofing project is currently schedule to occur daily between the hours of
9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Warm regards,
Rajka Osim
General Manager

Is there any feedback on how the construction project is progressing and will the project be completed by April 13,2018?

How is this water proofing painting project progressing at MBP in Fort Lauderdale? Also, there are two (2) very negatives reviews on TripAdvisor on the resort in the past several weeks.
What is going on?

We were there in December with a unit along the beach side and workers scaling up and down in front of us and it was still fine. Heck, we even provided ice water for the guys on the lift who returned the glasses it on the way down! The work by necessity creates some mess on the porches and I suppose some debris that falls or is blown away. A minute with a broom easily took care of it but it was an ongoing process, one step at a time for the entire vertical span of the building. Going back a week from now.

I would contend that when you sell the property as a hotel rather than a timeshare/condo facility the standards change and the expectations change. Most of us going know that the building was damaged by a storm, that there are more maintenance issues that need to be resolved to bring it back to close to 100% and accept that fact. We are in some ways all co-owners. I glanced at the negative reviews and found that one was from someone with what I would call an "entitled" attitude - if he has so many million points why isn't he at the hotel down the street and the other who is blaming a hot tub for a yeast infection. That's a stretch of an assumption but also why I don't use public hot tubs in general.

We found the service just fine in December, expect the same when we arrive next week. Looking very forward to returning. Selling the timeshare properties as hotels seems to continually bring out negative reviews from those measuring it by a standard that doesn't really apply. It's not a corporate decision I see as smart but then again, it's not my money in the game.
