Does anyone know what the resort fee is for Mystic Dunes for a 3 bedroom for non Diamond owners? Thanks.

I read (on the RCI website) that their resort fee is $16.00 per night but I don't know if the amount changes with the size of the unit. I think a quick call to the resort would be the best bet for an accurate cost.

We have 3 free nights booked there for a Diamond promo next month and they have assured me (in writing) that we wont have to pay any resort or other type of fee.

If you received an exchange through II, there are no fees. But RCI, yes, there are fees.

Cindy, let me ask you a question. I have narrowed my selection down to three resorts in Orlando. There are 5 of us women going. Mystic Dunes, Grand Beach and Star Island Resort. We are not interested in the parks, only spending quality time together, so basically a nice room and pools. What would your choice be? No Marriotts available in my time frame which is May.

Having been at Grand Beach, you should consider the other two. GB is nice but it’s a bit dated and basically looks like a decent condo or apartment complex on a lake.

If you haven’t made a reservation yet you should look into Bonnet Creek. The timeshare resort, not the adjacent hotel. It’s arguably the nicest timeshare resort in Orlando with nice rooms, pools, and amenities. It’s in a much nicer area than many Orlando timeshares and also close to shopping and restaurants at Disney Springs. Like Star Island it is also owned by Wyndham.

Thank you, Wynbob. So, out of the three you would choose Star Island? Unfortunately, Bonnet Creek is not available.

Star Island over Grand Beach is odd. I need to look at TUG Resorts Reviews.
I agree Bonnet Creek received a rating over 9.0 and GB 8.6.
Both sounds very nice. I would choice GB older selection base upon the reviews.

Mystic Dunes exchanges through RCI also now? If so, that's what I've been waiting years for. I'd like to drop II and Mystic Dunes is the only property I own that only traded through II. The rest are either dual-affiliated or RCI only.

I've stayed in all three resorts but own at Mystic Dunes. We use our week often and like the resort a lot. Grand Beach was pretty nice (it has been several years), but the public rooms seemed small. We didn't like Star Island.
