Just returned from Vegas with a large group of friends and had so much fun, we're thinking of doing it again but maybe Nashville. Any tips on where to stay where a bunch of "parents w/o kids" for a long weekend can be close to the music scene. We'd probably be doing a bunch of bar hopping so being able to walk or short uber/lyft would be a must. Not looking to timeshare as the group would be too large to manage that.

Spent several days at the Nashville Hilton downtown. Very short walk to bars on Broadway and the Ryman. Had a 1 bedroom suite and could see some of the roof top lounges on top of several of the bars. Room was kept very clean, staff very friendly and would return.
Enjoyed George Jones & Johnny Cash museums, the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum and the Tennessee State Museum (all withing walking distance). The Lane Motor Museum if anyone likes interesting vehicles. It is not in walking distance of hotel. Several more interesting plantations out of town. I really liked Nashville and hope to return.

I always stay near the airport since it's near my work there, but you'd have to drive downtown. Since I seldom have any leisure time, I am not familiar with how expensive parking is. The airport area is, however, convenient to the Grand Ol' Opry and Gaylord Opryland, and there is usually good availability at a reasonable price.
