I finally found the right deal after having several Desert Springs II ROFRed. Now how long before I can access my account? I know MVC is quick because my Vistana purchases have appeared in my account same month.

Congratulations on your purchase. We have owned there for almost 10 years and love it. The remodeling they have done in recent years has been great and enhanced the studio side quite a bit. It has good trading power too. I am not sure how long before it will be in your account, but I would imagine 2-3 weeks. Others may have a better idea of timing.

We are here at Desert Springs Villas I in a 2BR for 2 weeks. We love it here and it always feels like like a second home to us. It is spacious and relaxing. We own 2 weeks at Desert Springs Villas I and while the MF is $200 more than DSV II, we much prefer the sq footage and the layout to DSV II. We like the master bedroom of DSV II but the DSV II studio is tiny.

BTW, the front desk folks are super accommodating to owners. When we checked in on Saturday, we were assigned to a room where the master portion was not going to be ready until late at night. We lugged everything up to find that no one was working on cleaning the room. No kidding. We were at the front desk for at least 30 minutes and they finally assigned a room to us for a night and moved us to a wonderful room the following day.

When I bought my first DSV unit, about 10 years ago, I recall that it took longer than I was expecting to get my account set up. I think that after the deed was recorded that it took perhaps 3 weeks to a month for Marriott to open the account in their system. Then I added it to my existing ii membership and did the did the deal where there is no cost to add it if I extended my membership.

I think you bought WDW EOY resale a short while ago and then listed it for sale. What made you decide to swap to DSV?

@BJRSanDiego, yes, we would love to meet up. We don't generally go to their social events but will certainly plan on coordinating with you to go to one. We have the calendar of events that go all the way to Dec 14. I will check later today and get back to you!
