Ocean Oaks Availability/Walk?

In your opinion, how does availability at Ocean Oaks for the end of July/early August usually look? Is it necessary to walk a reservation and if so how soon should I start walking it?

Which room type will you be trying to book? Are your dates flexible?

edited to add: The 2BX (2 Bd OF) is the room type which is hard to book. There are only 22 of these rooms available to book. If you are only looking to book the 2BR, it is much easier. I would expect the same availability in late July/earlier August as early June. For early June, you can currently book a 2BR and start walking. For a 2BX, I would start earlier in order to break in and walk the reservation.

I assume the 2 BR OF is the plus and/or premium rooms that have higher point costs? We are just looking to spend the 7k points on the standard 2BR for this trip. Think it needs to be walked?

The premium rooms are ocean front, the plus rooms are higher floors with ocean view. Last year we were in a standard room (7K for a week) and thought is was perfectly fine -- we actually had a quite good view of the ocean, but that shouldn't be expected.
