Ongoing search ?’s

I’ve never tried an ongoing search in RCI, so I’ve got some questions for the more experienced. I have 52 TPU’s spread over 3 deposits. I’d like to setup a search for coastal Maine between early June and late September 2020. I know the odds of July/August hits are going to be slim, either June or September would be fine for us. How many TPU’s would be needed? Do I have to combine the deposits beforehand or do you get to do that once you get the match? The deposits expire in different years;2019,2020 and 2021. Can I only search against the deposits that expire after the travel dates? I started to set the search up but bailed when I got to the screen asking me to combine deposits. I wasn’t sure how the whole thing worked and can’t really find help on the website. Thanks in advance for any help.

You need to have enough TPUs in one deposit for an On Going Search (OGS). If its not "big enough" - it won't match.

You can get an idea of how many by looking at what RCI would "award" if you were depositing the week in that timeframe. I would pick a few and see what they would give for a end of July week. Then add 15-20%.....figure that's what you will most likely need to land that week.

Combining gives you a new expiration date - I believe it is one year, you "may" be able to buy 2 years. (rules keep changing.)

For deposited (non-combined) weeks - it is one year prior to the actual week date, and 2 years after to start the travel week.
