Hi All,
Once you have banked star options for future use, can you make and cancel reservations utilizing that same batch of options without penalty as long as you are in your 2 yr window? For example, you book a week right away but then when you are at your 8 month window for something else, it happens to be available. Can you cancel the first reservation and then use those staroptions for the new booking without being charged?

Thanks!

I believe the cancellation policy on all reservations, home ownership or options (banked or not) is the same, 60+ days without penalty, later than that there is a fee to cancel and the options are returned to you but become restricted (i.e. can only then be used to make reservations at the 60 day or less mark).

Once you bank this year's options, you cannot use them for reservations with check-in date in this year.
You can use your banked options for check-ins in the succeeding 2 calendar years, that is 2020-21 for 2019 banked options.

I think unused 2019 housekeeping credits do not carry over though into the following 2 years.
So you'll be charged for housekeeping for each reservation above your annual VOI allotment.

Yes you can cancel one star options reservation, and the options become immediately available for you to make another reservation,
with <60 day restrictions as noted in another post.
No charge to make new reservation, but will be assessed housekeeping if you are above annual allotment.
If you make and cancel several reservations, it will screw up the online housekeeping credit count.
So you will need to call CS to correct housekeeping charge. The resorts won't/can't do it for you at checkout.

There is a fee if you cancel a StarOption reservation inside of 60 days ($50 I think). Higher ($75) if you cancel inside of 7 days.
