I do have an RCI account but it is attached to my HICV resort account. I don't suppose I could use that account for Williamsburg?

No but you can use it internally with HICV resorts and only$59.00 exchange fee.As long as you don’t convert all your Holiday Inn points to RCI. They are only worth half thru RCI.

You can exchange internally! Go to the website. Contact the resort find out all exchange policies and programs then decide if WP is the right choice for you.

I don't think they allow you to deposit any resort that is not affilliated with RCI as a part of that program. You have to be able to deposit the week in RCI and Williamsburg Plantation weeks only exchange through II (and the independents)

Vacation Villages have a program they started offering in the last 3-4 years called Vacation Villages Plus. It is developer only and you need to purchase points and or a conversion upgrade for that system. Resale weeks do not have access to any of the benefits of that program. VV Resorts not affiliated with RCI but purchased directly or upgraded for several thousand $'s may have access to that Plus Program but I am not sure as the program offered at the Williamsburg resorts are all related to Interval Points.

I am trying to help too and as an owner of Massanutten (points and weeks), Vacation Village at Parkway (points), grandview (points), Willimsburg Plantation (weeks) and Colonies of Williamsburg (weeks), all resale I am pretty familiar with the various types of exchanges offered to resale owners. I don't want you to purchase specifically because you want to access a CA affiliate when access may not be the case.

I did call today and you are very correct. The resale doesn't include the internal trading. This is very disappointing. Since we are local to Williamsburg area, I am wondering if its worth it for us to do the II trades if we need to trade or just use our week 33. It looks like an older resort also. Thanks for the help. Any more input is greatly appreciated.

Www.internalexchange.net says there’s an $80 discount for standard weeks owners, resulting in a cost of $159, and a $100 discount for VV Plus or Preferred, resulting in a cost of $139. I know you have to purchase/upgrade to get VV Plus or Preferred, but it’s not clear about the other discount.

I do own a developer purchased week with them, but not VVP, so should be eligible for the $80 discount anyway. It just isn’t clear what they told you about it. As a fair warning, you’ve got to talk to someone knowledgeable there to get the discount; I’ve missed it a couple of times and didn’t have the info documenting it handy.

I’ve traded a Massanutten Summit week w/SFX and did well (Grand Luxxe Suite in RM; cost an extra $200, I believe as a quality upgrade, but worth it). Haven’t tried DAE, which is now owned by RCI, but did notice they’ve started posting on TUG again after a hiatus.

I’m confused, DAE is owned by RCI? Why then is membership free? No Guests Certificates, lower rate for exchanges? Is this RCI lite?
