Does anyone have a recommendation on where to park in San Jose Del Cabo for the Art Walk? We have never been in SJDC before.

We are flying to Cabo tomorrow and will be staying at the Grand Solmar at Land's End for the week. This is our second trip to Cabo, but our first time renting a car. We plan to explore the greater area in addition to SJDC and the art walk.

I appreciate any insights you can provide.

Best regards.

Mike

Lots of on street parking in the core, but the streets are very narrow and congested. We prefer the angle parking all along the outside of the main core on Av. Centenario. Anything between Jose Maria Morelos and Manuel Doblado would leave you with only a couple of blocks walk to the galleries.

I would also suggest you really keep your wits about you, even with a GPS. Google Maps was mediocre for getting around, the satellite positioning often seemed a little off, and it tried to take us the wrong way down one-way streets more than once (one of which ended with a traffic stop).

Thanks for your advice. Before parking we drove through the core of town and agree with your assessment. Mainly, if not all, one way streets. But they were easy to drive and other drivers were courteous. After that we drove over to the angled parking that you suggested pretty close to the street where Jazmin’s Mexican Restaurant is located. Just a short walk. We enjoyed the food and environment there then enjoyed walking around town. Very relaxed environment. We can see why people enjoy SJDC. Much different feeling that CSL. We would definitely go back.

Best regards.

We always stay in San Jose del Cabo. We might visit Cabo San Lucas once or twice in a 3 week stay.
