If a timeshare (week 42) was purchased in 2006, would the FIRST year of usage be 2008 or 2009? Unfortunately, we bought this triennial timeshare (bad mistake) years ago and have not used it yet. (We were in RCI for a while but got smart and dropped that.)The triennial usage is difficult to work with-- and as you see I don't even know when we COULD use it if we wanted to! (Sorry, I do not have the contract available at this time or maybe I could answer my own question!) Thanks for any assistance!

A few in S and VA, a single resort in NC, MD, PA, and UT, plus Jamaica and the Bahamas
Your first use year could be almost any year. You would have had that information indicated on your purchase contract. Some triennials have you pay 1/3 of the MF every year, while most have you pay on the December before your use year. You can always call the management company- the one you send your MF payments to and they should be able to tell you when your next available use year starts and the exact dates for your stay. Some are on a specific day of the week like Saturday or Sunday and some require that you call and reserve from the available check in days for your fixed week.

Nobody can answer that question here. You need to contact the management company for what you own and ask them. In either case you need all the info available in order to try and give it away.
