Haha. Need to book something very soon with my RCI credit Thinking about going to Branson. We want to do a second week somewhere but not in Branson. Any suggestions? When we did this trip many years ago for the second week we drove to Bella Vista Arkansas through Eureka Springs . It was nice but don't want that again. Thanks

So, you're wanting a second week close to Branson then? What season?

Golf is Bella Vista's main attraction, so if that does not appeal to you there is definitely no reason to visit that area. What are your vacation interests and more importantly, how far are you willing to drive for that second week?

No Golf, no water sports or hiking! We are looking at late July or beginning of August. I have my home resort booked for 8/31/18 check in so we have to be back home to drive there. We are willing to drive 3-4 hours for second week if it is something worth our while. We enjoy small towns, scenic drives, interesting restaurants and a nice resort pool with a hot tub. Pretty views and relaxing is just fine right now!

I am not overly familiar with the area but every place (that I know has timeshares) that I thought would be interesting was a 7 hour plus drive from Branson.

At least 7 hours from me as well - sorry I cannot help you out here Ann-Marie. My first thought was the Wisconsin Dells but that is definitely outside the 3-4 hour range. Just for fun, here is a map with a 300 miles circumference around Branson, MO - that almost brings Dallas and Nashville into play.

You could also go to the WorldMark or Wyndham Grand Lake in Oklahoma. There's about 12 Indian casinos in a 30 mile radius from there, if that interests you. I'd pick Lake of the Ozarks too!

How about Hot Springs? Too close to Branson? (They are only about 150 miles apart.) At least in II, there are some nice resorts there, and you have access to the National Park, and to the natural hot springs....I've thought about a trade or Getaway there myself at some point.

Hot Springs would be my first recommendation also, but it would be sweltering hot at that time of year, and that would rule it out for me. Also, Hot Springs is over 200 miles away from Branson (not 150 miles) - and about a 4 hour drive.

So, I'll put my vote down for Lake of the Ozarks also. Lake of the Ozarks is about 2 hours away.

The 150 miles was based on a Google maps search. I've never been there myself.

Holiday Island, AR, only about an hour?? from Branson, right close to Eureka Springs, which you should not miss. Love that timeshare too.
