I have had pretty good interactions lately with RCI via the chat option.
Had to cancel last minute on an exchange again, due to unexpected surgery.
Last February had to cancel due to MIL passing.
Anyway, just had a pleasant encounter with RCI.
I was planning to stop my membership when it expires, but since they have been so cooperative towards me. I might sign up again for a few more years.
Anyone else had positive results with RCI lately?

I was able to get something done (signing someone from TUG up to a 5-Year Guest Pass) that I was not able to do by phone.

A plus is at the end of it you can print, or save, a written record of the entire transaction conversation. I was surprised that they got on so quickly because phone calls to RCI can have lengthy holds and emails take a few days to get a reply.

It is the quickest way to get something done and have record.

You should think seriously about not stopping your RCI membership, even after you no longer own a timeshare. Perhaps your best benefits, your most inexpensive vacations, are yet to come.

I was going to get rid of my RCI membership too and decided to keep it. I still feel the quality of resorts and the fairness of getting like for like is superior in II. I own many weeks and as you know life happens and RCI is much better then II in giving me back full trading power if I have to cancel or do a late deposit.

I also checked. If you add it within 30 days (I think) of making the reservation it's $64. If you wait, it goes up to $104.
