Hi can someone tell me what is going on with Rci inventory. I have been with Rci for over 20 years never had in problems with finding what I needed.
Now 80% of what I see is rentals.
Running out of ideas.Looking for Maui or Kauai in July.

I have a couple of thoughts on RCI inventory:
(1.) A lot less people seem to belong and deposit their units into RCI.
(2.) RCI seems to be more interested in their rental arm of its' business model than the timeshare side of things.

I seem to have the best luck with on-going searches that are at least one year in advance of the actual vacation time.

I know this doesn't help you with your Maui/Kauai search for July but just my 2 cents worth.

Many years ago when we belonged to RCI we had to put in searches like 2 years in advance! Certainly for Hawaii. I would never expect to get an exchange for THIS summer at this point in time. Maybe you’ll get lucky.

I quit RCI several years ago...Trading with Interval, GPX and trading places...sometimes Platinum... I started looking for weeks in Sept 18 for my sons wedding next month on Oahu. Using the other exchange companies I was able to book 4 weeks on Oahu for wedding and guests, 1 week on Maui and 2 weeks on Kauai. I would not go back to RCI... they are so expensive and there are much better alternatives.
