Is there a link with how many points different units take? So I can get an idea of how many points it takes per night for different areas, different times of the year?

I have a Pdf file of The RCI Directory of Affiliated Resorts / RCI Points Values. I got it from the RCI Points website; I think you may have to be an owner to view it.

Many of time at 90 days before checkin point costs start to get reduced as checkin day draws nearer you might find stuff 90% or more reduced, but always revert back to last minute deals as they may prove cheaper as they don’t have an exchange fee.

We have had a points week since they first started. There was a time I could get 4 vacations out of our deposited points for a year ( less than a week ). In the early years, inventory was good. Unfortunately, many of the resorts now want to rent their available space and entice owners to deposit with them instead for a share of the rental. As a result, inventory has dropped significantly. I'm having more difficulty finding nice locations now. Usually the ones available are leftovers. It's frustrating to see vacant units at my home resort because they were held out for rental, and thus I cannot access them with my points. I haven't given up ... but there are continuing frustrations.
