I just called broker about Hyatt Mainstreet Station $4222 for 17 days. Prime ski week and 10 float days summer or fall. This was a 3 bedroom/3 Bathroom Lock off.

Too rich for my blood at this time

What is the justification for a different MF based on the week? Size yes, but week?

1. Keeps lower-season owners from bailing.
2. Ski weeks use the most heat (colder), cleaning (careless people with snowy boots in the unit), and snow removal, which many other week owners don't appreciate paying for.
3. Summer weeks use much less of everything (but it's summer and prime time too).

Thanks. It still seems that a 400% difference based on weeks is a little too much!

It makes the MF work more like they do in a true points system. MF is per point and cost in points varies during the year so using a low season week costs less MF. It costs XX amount for a years maintenance/etc but there are many ways to allocate those costs. One can probably argue pluses and minuses to the various systems. I have never seen a weeks ownership allocate costs this way.

Here are the Valdoro MF's:
Studio- $658.03
1 Bedroom - $1,007.40
2 Bedroom - $1,346.87
3 Bedroom - $1,672.44

These are for any season. A Platinum, Gold or Silver season 2 bedroom would have the same MF's.

Peak 7 in Breck is the best value. Super nice resort, around $800 for 1 bedrooms, ski in ski out. Grand timber lodge great value too. Around $1k for winter float

Marriott Streamside varies based on the building. The fees shown above that vary all over the map are for Birch, which is fixed week / fixed unit and has astronomical fees. Douglas is $1,545 for all size units and all seasons, and Evergreen is $1,818 for 2018. Evergreen is all 2BR's and both Douglas and Evergreen are floating weeks within the season. The Sheraton Mountain Vista is $1,502 for 2BR lockoffs and Sheraton Lakeside Terrace is $1,283 - all LT units are 2BR's.
