We’re going to Royal Haciendas for Christmas for the first time. Is the all-inclusive worth it? What are the lunch options there? Thanks everyone!

As an owner I do not think the AI option is worthwhile- I don’t drink and I don’t love the resort restaurants. We eat like lunch on property but we go off property for dinners. We rent a car and our favorite restaurant is John Gray’s Kitchen in Puerto Morales. The food is exceptional.

The pool grills are very acceptable for lunch. As an owner I’ve found LaPalapa, the main restaurant, very lacking since the resort opened. Los Murales is a nice restaurant but is more on the pricey side. We use the express menu for supper with good luck, if your not into leaving the property.

OP, do you have the full kitchen side of the villa? If so, have you considered using it, for breakfasts and lunches? Anyone that can eat/drink $100 + USD per day per person. well....

They'd have to remove me with a fork lift.

Far too many great restaurants in Playa to never leave the compound. Not to mention, never leaving the compound. Not my idea of a vacation, but to each, their own.

Add this: the RH was not conceived, designed, built, outfitted, nor intended to be an AI. It was built and sold to be a "family friendly, non-all inclusive, non-hotel, vacation experience". If you're looking for a true AI, you've got the wrong place.
