Yesterday, I rec'd an legit-looking notice from PayPal saying a $30 payment had been made.
My DW uses PP, so I assumed she bought something, but today she denied it.
The merchant listed is real, so I clicked on the link in the e-mail to dispute it.
How many times have we been told not to do that? DOH!

The log-in screen looked legit, but I became suspicious when it asked for personal
stuff, including a SSN to "reactivate" my account. That stopped me in my tracks.

Our real PayPal account showed no activity. I dodged a bullet, but barely.
PP confirmed the spoof and advised me to change my password + security q's.

I don't know if it really does any good, but you can forward this type of email to spoof@paypal.com and they say they will investigate. I have done this many times ~ Ron
