Schooner Landing in Newport, Oregon

I used to own a deeded week at this resort, and now I see it also has a connection in the WorldMark system. At the time I visited, they were having terrible trouble with land slippage down the hill toward the ocean. There were a few buildings that were kind of tilted, and appeared to be on the brink of being lost. There were plans to stabilize things. Did that ever happen? What is the current status of things at this resort?

Hi Dave,

I don't know the current status of things at this resort, but I do know WM only has a few units at this location and they do not come up very often on bonus time.

It's such a nice area, I'm not surprised it's rare to see it offered. Newport is one of my favorite Oregon beach towns. I just hope they were able to solve the erosion problem they were having.

We were there in September 2014. No apparent problems on the property so I assume all has been repaired. Very nice place and nice unit but no ocean view from our unit. Most units don't have a view. Since we moved to Oregon last year we probably would choose someplace with a view next time since it's so easy for us to drive to the coast and stay somewhere pet friendly.
