Ocean Palms has 2BR and 2BR Deluxe units. There's a floor plan for the 2BR Deluxe units but not for the 2BR.

Does anyone know the difference? What does the 2BR unit not have?

The difference is in the view.

I questioned the 1BR about 3 years ago and was shown that the columns of 128,000 point units were on the west side and 140,000 were on the south side because they have both an inner coastal and ocean view, even though lower floors don't have much of a view.

Now it is different. All upper floors are now deluxe, however "upper" is defined.

One year I had a 9th floor west side for 128,000 and the next year there was no 128,000 so I booked a 140,000 and got the same unit.

I'm confused. If upper floors are Deluxe, how is the difference between Deluxe and non-Deluxe in the view?

Do NOT consider getting one unit via 140K or 126K in different years to mean ANYTHING. The front desk was keeping a guest in the 126K unit for multiple weeks.

The lower point units are OVER the garage parking entrance area.

The higher floors, probably 6-10, have a distant view of the ocean over buildings, or a good view of the inner coastal over short buildings across the street, or both.
Floors 4 and 5 can have the view blocked by palm trees.

What I was saying in my post is that was not the situation about three years ago.

I had a lower point unit on the ninth floor on the west side which I was happy with.

I asked one of the most knowledgeable women at the desk what determined the point value.
She told me that the west side units were 128,000, the south side 140,000 regardless of floor because the south side had a view of the ocean.
I told her that previously we had a 5th floor south side unit and could barely see the ocean.

The next year the same 9th floor west side unit the same week cost me more more points. She was no longer there as well as most of the others, and someone who is no longer there told me the upper floor units require more points regardless of which side of the building. He wasn't able to define upper floor.
